First off, would you be happier if you won the lottery? It’s supposed to be a dream come true to win the lottery, right? The answer is, you would be happier. Camelot, which runs the National Lottery in the U.K. did a major survey about lottery winner statistics. 55% of respondents said that they were happier since winning the lottery. Well, what about the other 45%? You may be surprised to find out that only 2% said that they were less happier since winning the lottery. The remaining 43% were happy before the lotto and were just as happy after. So, it’s a good bet that you, too, would be happy with a nice jackpot win.

Would your lifestyle change after a lottery win? This, more than any other question, is determined by how much you win. A study found that winning $15,000 per year for twenty years wouldn’t affect the lifestyle of the average person; that person would continue to work and wouldn’t change their spending patterns much. However, winning $80,000 per year for twenty years would considerably change the lifestyle of the average person; that person would be more likely to quit their job and make more expensive purchases, like a more expensive car and a bigger house.
